About Me

I’ve been a mom for almost 4 years and an educational writer for the same. Before that, I was in the teaching profession for 5 years. As a teacher turned stay-at-home mom, I was looking for a way to use my experience to both help support my job as a stay-at-home mom and to provide relevant information and help for teachers still in the classroom.

When teaching, I never liked kids to leave me confused or frustrated with learning; my goal as a teacher, director and tutor was to make learning both attainable and fun for all students, regardless of age, subject, skill or disability.

A big part of that was to make learning fun. I worked hard to make kids laugh. Those who I couldn’t get to laugh I settled for a smile but made a big deal about the fact that I finally got an elusive smile. I also made asking questions into a favor kids did for me, so that I got to teach something (imagine, a teacher wanting to teach!).

Education is a number one priority for me. Teachers and parents together are responsible for raising the next generation and all too often teachers end up with the majority of that job.

Now that I am an educational writer and full time mom I find that I have the best job in the world – teaching my children. Any moment where my kids get excited about learning counts as a top moment for me.

In addition to 321 Learn, I also maintain My Classroom Management, a website dedicated to helping teachers maintain order in their classrooms.
