I am agreed with you as the job what teachers are doing is somthing like shaping one's life and which is going to shape whole country or world means there is no measure or value of their work but they must be valued for this unmeasurable job which helps in shaping not only single individual but in longer that indivudual shape whole country or world on basis of which s/he taught by their teachers.

Hiya. Are you based in ireland by any chance? Do you have any pointers as to how i can have my 12 year old son tested for dysgraphia. He is in constant trouble for his hand writting being eligible. either that or gets into trouble for writting to slowly when the poor guy is then trying to make it better! This has been an ongoing problem throughout his school education. He did have tests done in school when he was about 7 as the teachers had a thought he may have problems in other areas. They could come up with no IQ as his testing came in massivly high in some areas while drastically low in a couple of other area's. Anyway, they decided he didn't qualify as having any "problem" that could be named! I don't think they'd of focused much on his handwritting particularly. Thanks! A ny pointers in the right direction would be great and I'l defo look into buying and downloading this book. (:

Linda,

Thank you for catching the typo! Knowing and accepting the fact that you are not perfect is one of the most important lessons that teachers can learn, for their own sanity's sake! If a stray typo (come on fellow teachers, how many typo's have you missed over the years?) makes this entire website a problem for you, then sorry, but this website was not written for you. If, on the other hand, you find other typos that you would like to .politely. mention, I'd be glad for the extra eyes looking for those mistakes. Seems like no matter how many times I re-read what I write, there are always going to be some mistakes that get past me. Guess that's why books have professional editors go over every word with a fine tooth comb prior to publication...

[...] First, my opinion – be sure that in the ever present push to get through each standard on the state mandated curriculum, that children are learning why they need to know the information. Understanding the facts may help them pass a test, but understanding how that information is applicable to their lives is priceless and will ultimately result in better educated adults. It may also be worthy of note to reduce test stress. [...]

If you are going to create a website for teachers, make sure everything is spelled correctly. It's "perform," not "preform."

Pajamas are the most comfortable sleepwear option. Yes, its true that mostly parents wear comfy pajamas for dropping their kids to school. This is really strange that school have banned pajamas for parents also.

Nice response to my article. I agree with you in your #4 response that focusing on the instructional content is beside the point of the instructional mode. However, all teaching is inherently reductive. If teachers take oodles of class time teaching to the mode (the how of instruction), than the content (the what of instruction) tends to suffer from neglect. Your readers may wish to check out my 23 Myths of Differentiated Instruction article at http://penningtonpublishing.com/blog/reading/23-myths-of-differentiated-instruction/. I would be interested in your comments.
