Things that were a staple: library day, with lots of books, story time, and reading.
We routinely had coloring/painting times, and I encouraged lots of questions through play.
I use vocabulary words that I KNOW are above her comprehension and we have very interesting conversations about what a water treatment plant is, or what it means to be flustered or other words and ideas.
Over the summer after she turned 4, Becca began showing a lot of readiness for learning to read and so instead of doing another year of “preschool” we are planning on doing K4. (which really doesn’t change a lot of my plans for the year, just adds focus on phonics and math).
