When preparing for the school year, it is extremely helpful for a teacher to dust off those lesson plans or for new teachers, sit down and start writing lesson plans.
Here are some simple ways to organize lesson plans so that they are easy to find and use whenever they are needed.
1. Organize one binder for each subject. Keep lesson plans, worksheets and modified work behind tabbed lesson plans.
2. Use a small portable file cabinet for each subject. This is especially helpful for storing larger manipulatives that do not fit in a binder.
3. Use an accordion file folder for storing various worksheets or lesson plans.
The more organized the lesson plans and materials, the less time the teacher will spend planning.
