Virtual field trips and tours are a great way for homeschooled students to see new places and further explore subjects they are studying. Tours are available for famous museums, zoos, landmarks, and more. Here are 10 field trips, tours, and expeditions that can be taken online for free.

White House Tour – This virtual tour of the White House takes students inside the President’s house. The tour recounts the history of various rooms, presidents, and first ladies. Students can also learn more about Camp David, Air Force One, and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

CIA Museum Tour – The CIA Museum tour takes students through the halls of the museum and allows them to click on the shelves of the museum’s cabinets to examine and learn about various artifacts. After touring the museum, students can also take a virtual tour of the CIA Headquarters.

Natural Museum of Natural History Tour – The Smithsonian Natural Museum of Natural History allows students to take a room-by-room walking tour online. Students can also take a panoramic tour of individual rooms within the museum.

Louvre Tour – The Louvre, the most-visited museum in the world, provides a 3-D tour of the museum online. The tour includes a look at famous artworks, the staircase at the Palace of Versailles, the Bawit monastery, and the Bronzes room.
